#radio4minus1letter
I’m late to this, but the #radio4minus1letter hash tag on Twitter is brilliant. The premise: take a Radio 4 show and remove one letter to make it into a new show. From which we get:
- Tart the week- Andrew marr and guests make delicious pastry treats live on air.
- Wee in Westminster - Drama about a hapless tourist who couldn’t find a working public convenience.
- Midwee. Lively discussion programme from a bathroom.
- Jus A Minute - in which Nicholas Parsons tries to persuade the panel to create a quick sauce to accompany their meal
- Font Row, where people debate the pros and cons of different typefaces.
- A Pint of View - where Clive James drinks beer and slurs on a topical issue.
- I’m Sorry I haven’t a Cue - British sportspeople of all disciplines dream up excuses for failure to win.
- The No Show - Our weekly roundup for negative people.
- JST A Minute - A reminder of the current time in Japan, updated at 60 second intervals
- The Pen University: educational programmes for those who prefer to take notes and write essays the old-fashioned way.
- Desert Island Disc : a celebrity plays their favourite album all the way through.
- The Word Tonight. Very short evening programme.
- Hipping Forecast - surgery predictions for old people
